It’s a God Thing by Charles L. Roesel. Free on 7-29-14
He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise (Luke 3:11 NKJV).

A bold leader decided to follow Jesus’ teachings, resulting in a powerful ministry that has every member in his congregation serving the poor, the downcast, and the naked. Through this obedience to Scripture, his church grew from a small fifty-member congregation to a thriving, life-filled body of Christ-followers that is active in an astounding seventy ministries today.

Learn how your church can follow Jesus today, no matter your budget or how stale your current ministry “programs,” and in spite of opposition. Dr. Roesel overcame the overwhelming odds and proved that Jesus’ teachings are still valid today.

The 40 Days: A Novel by F.B. Timmerman. $3.49 on 7-29-14
The Bible records only a few verses describing what occurred during the 40 days between Jesus’ resurrection on Easter and his return to Heaven. The 40 Days: A Novel tells the story of a first-century Hebrew shepherd and his son, who find themselves in the presence of Jesus during that 40-day period after their flock becomes scattered during the cataclysmic events of Good Friday.
Over the course of the 40 days, Jesus patiently answers the shepherd’s questions while teaching him about the purpose of his earthly ministry and what he accomplished for all people through God’s love.
The 40 Days: A Novel uses Scripture in the framework of a story to make the Good News understandable to those unfamiliar with Jesus and the Bible while offering a new faith-strengthening perspective to long-time believers.
This novel can also be used for Bible study and group discussion; all Biblical references are included. (Topics are linked to nearly 500 Bible verses.)
Read The 40 Days: A Novel and learn for the first time, or understand further, who this Jesus IS.

Foreclosed by Traci Tyne Hilton. Free on 7-26-14
Mitzy Neuhaus is the top selling Realtor in Portland, but even her office is dead in this economy. Foreclosed is the word no homeowner wants to hear and Mitzy is determined to save the incredible mansion on her street from that fate. But with the homeowner desperate to keep Mitzy away from his property and Alonzo, the dangerously hot rival investor trying to snatch it out from under her, Mitzy knows she has to work fast, or the economy won’t be the only thing dead…

Praise for the Mitzy Neuhaus Mysteries

A fun cozy mystery. The lead character, Mitzy Neuhause, is what one would get if Legally Blond were about real estate. She is well-intentioned, beautiful, slightly clueless, and really, really good at what she does – which is selling homes in Portland, Oregon.

The fun begins when she butts heads with a local commercial property real estate agent over a stunning and mysterious Victioran mansion.
The next thing you know Russian royal jewels are being discussed and the Russian mob may, or may not, be involved. Mitzy needs to keep her faith, her head, and her big, blonde, 80’s hair in place in order to bring everything to a happy ending.—Jane Wells, author of Glitter in the Sun

Foreclosed is a thoroughly entertaining and superbly plotted debut novel from Traci Hilton. The book approaches the genre of mystery from an unusual but extremely engaging setting: the world of real estate.

And alongside the book’s delightful protagonist Mitzy Neuhaus, the reader loses himself in the grandeur and enigmatic qualities of the stunning mansion that the author so authoritatively conveys.

The chemistry between Alonzo and Mitzy is apparent from their first encounter and adds a layer of tantalizing romance to the book; their chemistry is electric and their battle of wills really brings the book’s main plot to life.

But it is Mitzy who deserves the greatest plaudits. She is an emotionally engaging character with an incredible amount of depth; resourceful, polite, entrepreneurial and caring, she is the book’s main attraction and could quite easily sustain a lengthy series of mysteries that the book’s many readers would enjoy.

Finally, the author’s writing must receive its deserved praise. Often with light reads such as Foreclosed, the writing can be suspect. But Traci Hilton displays effortless control and command of language. A highly recommended read. –A. S. Anand author 2032

Ramblings From the Shower by Faye Bryant. Free on 7-24-14
What do you think about in the shower? And where do those thoughts take you? In “Ramblings from the Shower,” author Faye Bryant shares some of the thoughts that have come her way during the mundane task of everyday hygiene, and how those thoughts have compelled her to ask, “What about this, God? What do You think?” Follow along as Faye shares through personal experience and revelation her conclusions on just what God does think.

Is it possible to “be who you be”?

What does it mean to hear and follow “God’s heartbeat”?

Does God really have a sense of humor? Does He really laugh?

From a modern day “Good Samaritan” story, through the sea of emotions accompanying a battle with melanoma, to an honest open-heart discussion of the pain of divorce, this author shares thoughts, wit and wisdom gained from her many conversations with the Lord. Along the way you will read how she found comfort and hope in knowing that God is more interested in how we worship rather than what we wear, how we treat others rather than how we might appear, and how He wants us to trust Him that He can do good in our lives, even when things look really, really bad.

The Ultimate Guide to Understanding Dreams by Ira Milligan $1.99 on 7/24/14
Understanding the Dreams You Dream: Biblical Keys for Hearing God’s Voice in the Night not only provides insight into your dreams and life, but also includes a comprehensive dictionary of dream symbols!

You will be guided through the complex world of dreams by a minister with decades of experience receiving, understanding, and interpreting dreams of his own and for others.

Through Scripture-based meditation, much can be understood about your dreams; but many Christians don’t know how to meditate. This problem is addressed in three different ways:

Specific, detailed directions are given on how and upon what to meditate.

* Personal examples of dreams from the author’s own experiences.
* Practical dictionary of symbol definitions is included.

This book presents both normal and not-so-normal dream situations. You will learn that to apply only one type of dream interpretation to all dreams is restricting each symbol to only one possible definition, which is incorrect. And you will learn how to tell the difference between a dream from God-and those from evil sources.

Because He Loves Me by Elyse M. Fitzpatrick. $1.99 on 7/24/14
Simply speaking, love changes people. Christians, then, by definition, should exhibit the greatest transformation of all because, rightly understood and cherished, God’s love makes them increasingly more like the One who has lavished his love on them.

This truth is meant to tell believers who they are, their purpose and destiny, and how to faithfully persevere in their struggles against all opposition. But sometimes people lose sight of this. Because He Loves Me restores that vision, reminding Christians of their true identity as beloved children of God-adopted by the Father, espoused to the Son, and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Christianity is not a self-improvement program but a transferring of identity and growth, accomplished in history through Christ and in our daily lives through his Spirit. This book explores and celebrates these truths in an unforgettable way. Study questions and invitations for deeper discovery conclude each chapter.
