|It’s Time to Shake Off the Dust! If you thought your life was over at the moment of rejection, think again. The story of Jephthah’s life is depicted in the 11th chapter of Judges. Jephthah’s obscure entrance into the world began when he was born to a prostitute and a prominent country leader. Ostracized by his younger stepbrothers, Jephthah was eventually disinherited from his father’s will and forced to find his own way in life. The rejection he encountered in his father’s home also forced him to discover an extraordinary amount of strength he possessed which was used later to help save his family from being killed.
In today’s society, one of the major issues being discussed is bullying and the effects it has on victims. Without an alternative means for support, some people resort to suicide. A Summons for Champion Strength, The Legacy of an Unsung Bible Hero is not just another Bible story but it provides a perfect example of how a person was bullied but became stronger than those who rejected him. Overall, this book is a great tool for anyone regardless of their age, race, social or economic status who may be struggling with low self-esteem, rejection, fear of progress, physical challenges, or other problems which pose a threat to their life‘s purpose and encourages them to become a champion for God‘s kingdom.

|Stinging words. Insult. Crass commentary. At one point or another, each of us has had to deal with the harsh words of a critic. Throughout the course of His earthly ministry, Jesus faced the same thing. This book examines six specific ways Jesus handled the stinging words of His critics and offers us helpful suggestions that we can use when we face ours.|
|The TRUTH is……You don’t have to be perfect to delight in the Lord. You don’t have to have it all together, or have the perfectly balanced life. For so long I thought before I could move forward in certain areas of my life I needed to at least have a perfectly balanced life.
But now I realize that isn’t so. God will bless your efforts, and He will honor your humility. So when you feel like delighting in Him requires action from you to improve or be better at being a Christian, know this, God is strong where ever you are weak, and your actions for the Lord will not go in vain.
I will say it again, God will honor your humility. When our hearts are filled with pride we remove our self from the presence of the Lord, but through humility we experience God in a whole new way, and that is when we finally know and experience what it means to delight in the Lord.
You do not have to be perfect, and the “Desires of My Heart” eBook is not about being perfect, it is about BECOMING – or moving – towards God and living a life delighted in Him, which will come when our hearts have been changed by Him.
With heart-challenging explanations of the parables of Jesus, Matthew Robert Payne shares pieces of his life in the framework of the 54 parables of Jesus covered in The Parables of Jesus made simple. This collection of essays reads like a scholarly, yet genuine conversation with a good friend and is written with honesty, transparency and vigor. Matthew invites you to read the lessons of Christ, often times pleading with the reader to take hold of the weight of the words, then stepping back and offering no-nonsense applications for life. Each chapter is only four pages long, if not less,
which allows the reader to stop and reflect on the revelation shared in each chapter. This book is definitely worth bringing into your library and your life.
You don’t need a PhD to be inspired by the Holy Spirit. You need selfless dedication, humility and a hunger for truth. You can feel these in Matthew Robert Payne’s book on The Parables of Jesus made simple. After sixty years on this earth, I have heard a few sermons, and Mr Payne’s book stands as a delightful treasure.
